This project is the first phase of our vision to turn the dock into a
vibrant hub for the arts and marina for London’s under-served boating
community.
The ultimate plan involves building a mix of affordable studio
space beside the marina, nurturing a new home for East London’s creative
community, which is increasingly priced out of the market. The 2.5 acre site
would also feature a visitor centre, café and exhibition space.
The opening of the re-launch Prof ED Berman MBE will be showing the new make-over of the Inter-Action Fun Art Bus; on-board the bus will be Tap Dancing by Santa Clause, Shakespeare will be making an appearance with some autographed quotes from his plays and other entertainments.
The new space will include tranquil gardens and wildlife habitats and will be part-designed by the local community and the funders of this project.
